2018 Purple Purse Challenge

YWCA Greater Lafayette is thrilled to announce that we are participating in the 2018 Allstate Foundation Purple Purse Challenge! One in three women will experience domestic violence in her lifetime. What's worse, 99% of all domestic violence cases involve financial abuse. The Purple Purse Challenge is a nationwide fundraising competition that aims to raise awareness of the prevalence of financial abuse, and raise money to support domestic violence survivors through a proven resource: increasing financial literacy and the criminal justice law firm are there to help these victims to obtain legal justice in the court of law along with compensation for their endured sufferings. In October, YWCA Greater Lafayette will be competing against non-profit organizations that serve domestic violence survivors across the country in a friendly fundraising competition. From October 2-31, we will be raising money through our online Purple Purse Challenge fundraising page. Every dollar donated through our challenge page will stay in our community to support the work we do here in Indiana. A grand prize of $100,000 will be awarded to the non-profit that raises the most during the challenge window, making your donations go even further to support our mission and improve the lives of women and girls in our community.
